Ensure data collection techniques provide expected data for analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating Design of Experiments to ensure data collection techniques provide expected data for analysis
  • Curate and prepare data for analysis
  • Analyze the data to understand how well current classifiers are working
  • Analyze the data to determine if other signals or combinations of signals are correlated with driver states of interest.
  • Determine level of statistical significance associated with analyzed problem
  • Create / document and maintain work plans, work procedures and processes, and analyze data and document results.
  • Support research and development efforts to extend and improve performance using the results from these analyses.
  • Contribute software models, code, and algorithms to extend and improve performance of the classifiers.

  • Work collaboratively with engineering team

Key Tasks

  • Create procedures and processes to analyze data logs.
  • Organize and normalize complex sets of data for analysis
  • Draw concise conclusions about key patterns and indicators

Experience Level

  • 2-5 years of working experience in data analysis

Educational Requirement

  • B.S. or higher degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering

Additional Experiences

  • Ability to work collaboratively with global partners, particularly Asia.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, statistical approaches and predictive modelling techniques (including regression analysis, neural networks, genetic algorithms, SVM, etc.), the underlying assumptions they make, their limitations, and the proper use case for each methodology.
  • Proven ability to apply modelling approaches to identify and forecast with a high level of out of sample accuracy
  • Strong statistical acumen with in-depth knowledge of risk modelling.
  • Intermediate Experience with statistical programming languages such as Matlab, R, Python, SAS, etc.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in data querying tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, etc.)
  • Experience analyzing continuous value data signals
  • Ability to analyse, evaluate, and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Preference given to candidates with experience working with data from human-related experiments
  • Creating statistical models to draw conclusions in real time.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with state of the art data analysis tools and approaches relevant to analyzing data logs to estimate driver state.
  • Good communication skills.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel up to 10% of the time (domestic and international combined).
